DIY: How to Cover Sidelight Windows Under $50

A small home project I’ve been wanting to accomplish forever is covering the sidelight windows by our front door. Covering the windows gives a little more privacy to the area plus, it keeps the hot evening sun from beaming inside.

I found these lattice frosted panels on Amazon and everyone raved about them with five star reviews so I decided to give it a try.
If you follow the directions they are very easy to apply and in the end, look really nice! Take a look at how it turned out!

Products I used:

Frosted Lattice Window Film // Window Film Application Kit

Instagram Reel

I created a thirty second reel on Instagram demonstrating how to apply the sidelight coverings. It’s so easy that it only took me about an hour to complete.

The yellow squeegee comes in the Window Film Application kit along with a small knife to trim the edges, a lint free cloth and the application solution.

The squeegee helps smooth out any bubbles that may form during the application process, plus I like to run it along the edges to ensure a straight cut.
